Some labors can be a bit intensive, and fast paced. Others can drag out for hours and hours, with a lot of downtime in between. Whether or not he is playing games on the phone or on the hospital’s TV shouldn’t be a problem and is actually a pretty good idea to pass time.
However, if you are in pain and clearly need help, or that moment comes that the baby is about to come out, he needs to not hesitate, put that controller down and turn the TV off. If he says, “hold on, give me a few seconds to finish”, he obviously does not care about you, or his child.
